British Orthopaedic Association- BOA Travelling Fellowship Programme. Every year, the BOA offers a number of Travelling Fellowships to its members.  In 2019, we will award at least 13 fellowships, allocated based on merit to current BOA Trainees or SAS Surgeons. Applications are now open and will close at noon on 1st May.

European Orthopaedic Summer School (FORTE)- BOA Sponsored places available! The fourth European Orthopaedic Summer School (FORTE) will take place from 8th to 12th July 2019 in Milan, Italy. A full description of the Summer School and how to apply can be found online here. The BOA is sponsoring places for two BOA Trainee members and one BOA SAS surgeon member. We invite applications from members who are able to travel on these dates, who must apply by 10am, Wednesday 17th April 2019.

Mark Paterson Travelling Fellowship takes place this year in Italy, Portugal and Spain from 2nd to 14th September. The fellowship is funded by the Bone and Joint Journal and supported by the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EFORT) and the BOA. Application deadline is Sunday 5th May 2019 23:59 CET.

BOA Bootcamp Courses- Enhanced Induction for ST3 and ST4 Trainees. The course is designed to prepare ST3 and ST$ orthopaedic trainees with the knowledge and skills to excel during their training.

BOA Clinical Leadership Fellows Programme- The course is open to senior trainees at ST8 or above when the programme runs, newly appointed consultants with less than three years’ experience, and SAS surgeons. The programme is delivered through a combination of master classes, tutorials and coaching sessions with experts.
